Blue Danube Tours specializes in organizing themed programs for guests coming to Bratislava on cruise ships. In addition to traditional city sightseeing tours they offer trips around Slovakia, wine, beer, chocolate tastings, ride on “ Vláčik Blaváčik” train.

The original goal of this project was to redesign the website but following the detailed analysis we concluded that it would be more efficient (from the financial perspective) to create a new website while retaining its original structure.

Simple and functional web design

The proposal of the new design is derived from the colours of Blue Danube Tours logo. The newly created modern web design is featuring nice large format photographs that are reinvigorating the website and presenting individual cruises and trips.

Web forms migration

Since the website exists in three different languages ( SVK, EN) it contains relatively many individual tours/trips subpages. Almost each of these subpages includes a unique reservation form, functionality of which needs to be retained in the new design. We decided to address this issue by migrating already existing forms into a new editorial system. There will be no change in the content of the forms and for the forms to fit on the new proposed website we have only adjusted their design.

This solution saved us a significant amount of time and positively effected the price and the project implementation time.

Customer satisfaction and improved website traffic

After launching the new website, analysing and evaluating user behaviour we observed bounce rate improvement (decrease by 17%) and saw an increase in the total number of pages viewed (by 39%).

Thus, we accomplished another successful website implementation that yields positive results and meets all our client’s requirements.
